We are putting together the second edition of AQMeNtion, our quarterly newsletter and are interested in hearing your views.

- What did you think of our last newsletter?

- Do you have any ideas on features and topics you would like to see in future editions?

- Do you have any articles or items of interest you would like published?

For those who haven't seen it

I'd like to float the idea of Having a topic-area such as the "What is X?" [e.g. "What is Structural Equational Modelling?"] presentations at NCRM Research Methods Festivals, both to keep less-known or practised methods in the methodological eye, and provide materials and advice for those wishing to have a Workshop or float a course.

You won't be surprised that I am thinking especially of Multidimensional Scaling and allied procedures (Clustering, Factor/PC Analysis) and of Sorting. I remain astonished that these rarely feature in courses despite their relevance for visualization and (in the case of sorting) eliciting subjective categories.
I'd be happy to contribute an article or Workshop; it might be fun to develop one with associated animated graphics!

Hi Tony

Thanks for this - an article on these topics would be very welcome. We already have a 'Focus on Methods' section where it may fit, but could consider introducing a 'What is X?' section too for less well known topics. The timescale for the June edition is probably now too tight so perhaps this would be something for September?

Thanks also for the workshop offer - we are meeting to discuss training and events next week so will look then at how it could be fitted in.

Thanks
Helen
