how is it possible to find the interaction effect statistic between
the independent variables in a logistic regression model in PASW Statistics?

An interaction can be fitted om a logictic regression analysis by using: analyse, log-linear, logit, then clicking 'model' and first setting the main effects and then change the effect type to 'interaction' and highlight the variables you want to test the interaction between together and move them into the model.

However, note I am not a regular PASW user - others please comment if you can offer more help.

There is also very nice free guide on complex samples published by SPSS (PASW) that touches the issue of interaction effect:

Bingo! Many thanks Konrad, the examples in the pdf you linked to helped me make sense of complex samples ordinal regression.
