Tim Besley Seminar
Prof Tim Besley is visiting Edinburgh and giving an evening talk on Thursday 12 November entitled “The economics of public service delivery: competition, incentives and ownership”. Besley will discuss why providing high quality public services at reasonable cost in the face of limited public budgets and ever rising expectations is one of the great challenges for policy. This lecture will give an overview of current economic thinking on this topic. He will also discuss how these insights can be applied concretely.
This seminar will be held at 6pm at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, George Street and will be followed by a wine reception to which all participants are invited.
