SPSS (PASW) USERS' GROUP
ASSESS is an independent user group for SPSS (PASW), a computer package for analysing and presenting data. It is run by users, for users and is completely independent of manufacturers of the software. Between 1996 and 2009 ASSESS gave workshops on aspects of SPSS (PASW) including syntax, macros, output management system (OMS), Python, R and survival analysis.
Two one day workshops are provisionally planned to be held in the Cardiff Business School, University of Cardiff on Thursday 8th & Friday 9th July 2010 led by Chris Stride (University of Sheffield) and Peter Watson (MRC, Cambridge). These will cover SPSS (PASW) syntax, macros and the output management system (OMS).
The workshops are open to users of SPSS (PASW) who are familiar with the menu toolbar but have limited knowledge of syntax.
