Conditions of Membership
1. Website resources are free of charge to anyone, although access to some aspects of the website will necessitate registering to become a member of the Network.
2. Anyone can register to become a member of the Network and attend lectures and seminars free of charge; however, AQMeN training events will be free of charge only to social scientists (staff and doctoral students) based in Scottish Universities. As part of the Training & Events section of this website, AQMeN will include events hosted by other organisations & institutions. There may be attendance costs associated with these events and AQMeN cannot offer financial assistance.
3. PhD students studying in Scotland may be eligible to claim for travel & accommodation costs, up to a set amount, for AQMeN training courses only. Due to the volume of people and funding restrictions, we are unable to provide reimbursement for any member to attend knowledge exchange events or locally organised events. Where expenses will be paid, guidelines will be detailed in the event information at www.aqmen.ac.uk/events and within the email sent to delegates prior to the event.
4. Where places on training and other events are limited, priority will be given to social scientists based in Scottish Universities.
5. Members of the Network who are non-academic or who are based at Universities outwith Scotland will be expected to pay a fee for attendance at AQMeN training events.
6. Registered members of the Network can contact AQMeN to ask for advice or guidance on any aspect of using quantitative methods; however, requests will be prioritised by AQMeN staff and it may not be possible to deal fully with requests for extensive support.
7. By joining the Network you agree to have your details displayed on the website and are willing to have other Network members contact you about aspects of quantitative methodology that you have expressed an interest or involvement in.
