The Changing Face of Scotland
As part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science 2010, AqMeN hosted this event at the Dundee Science Centre, Sensation on 18th March 2010.
The event explored demographic change and patterns of migration within Scotland and how this is likely to impact on necessary service provision. Participants heard the latest evidence from a range of academic experts who discussed the economic, social and cultural implications from the perspective of fertility, migration, and longevity. There was also demonstrations of SCROL and Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics providing participants with practical guidance on how to use and apply available population data.
